Talking Death Title!

For those of us with characters that were older than when the survivor title got implemented or those who just don't even want to try for that tile, why not make a similar title for accumulated deaths?

Those who have accumulated 1337500 deaths can have legendary corpse or something lol

I dont care if it makes GWAMM easier... it would be pretty awesome to walk around with a legendary corpse title.

That many deaths would take roughly 3 years of AFK shrining. Good luck.

I think the max title for this should be "Bring out your dead!"

This would be a funny joke title. I'd be all for it as long as it wouldn't count for GWAMM.

This has been suggested before. It's not an accomplishment at all. It's easier to acquire than an experience title, and you can easily increase your death count afk. Image below isn't me.

Search turned up this thread as the earliest example of this suggestion, but I didn't look too hard.

Maybe after seeing that picture, I could re-suggest max title be "You suck at Guild Wars!"

Um you die like once every 4 seconds while afk pet leveling so that's 21600 deaths a day. It would take less than a week to get 135k deaths.

It's still a bad build.

Regardless, I don't see why anything like this should be implemented.

Good point, I was assuming the 10 second rez shrine delay + 3 second post-rez invincibility.

With 3 heroes spamming rez there's just nothing particularly impressive or purposeful with those numbers.

Another suggestion for a "death" title? Really? Why not suggest an "hours spent online" title, or a "number of failed PuGs" title or even a "number of divorces caused by Guild Wars" title? All of those would be far more original, and more likely to be implemented.

Besides, its been confirmed by anet that they expect no more title adjustments or additions now or in the future. A pitty really, since Kurz/Luxon could still use some tweaking...

You sir are bad at LDoA, U can do that title within a few months if u put your effort in it. And like stated earlier that many deaths is easy achievable in a few days if not weeks

As for back on topic: It'd be cool, but who needs more titles :P?

We kinda already have a title for this... it's called Legendary Defender of Ascalon.

All joking aside, I don't think a title based on death count makes any sense at all. You want to be rewarded... for failing? It is so easy to kill yourself.

Idk why people are hell bent on not letting new titles being added into the game when GW1's community is built around the ease, speed, efficiency of doing things.

People go out of their way to exploit the metagame with overpowered hero set ups, speed clears, title farms, and PvP gimmick team builds.

Generally, these naysayers are the same people who do such things with their guilds and alliances to exploit and perpetuate the metagame.

That being said, there's a tendency for GWGuru to just reject new titles entirely for the sake of GWAMM being too easy to achieve. In my 5 years of playing GW, I have no idea why a community of players who strive to be as efficient and quick as possible do not want something to be even more so. It seems hypocritical.

It's just a bad idea for a title as it rewards little to no effort put forth by the player. A title should exist because criteria need to be met through effort, strategy, and skill.

Even the titles which are super farmable and extremely easy to get require at least some effort, strategy, and skill.

Not really a good idea. I mean , sure it's fun , but like many titles , it would get farmed too easily. I will give you 2 examples :
- i remember in Hero Battles people using bots to suicide themselves in order to tank rating. This could be used very easily to get title( even by not using bot in fact , it's very easy...)
- the same way people do LdOa. They lure some mobs on rez shrine then go afk...
